Diagnostic characters
Pronotum not concealing forewing in repose, with or without suprahumeral horns or elevated median carina or both; posterior process simple to elevated, ornate, and trispinose. Forewing with veins R and M fused basally and strongly divergent for short distance near middle of wing; vein R 2+3 present as distinct branch of R. Hind wing without r-m crossvein but veins R4+5 and M1+2 confluent for short distance near apex and gradually divergent beyond; R2+3 present as marginal vein. Female second valvulae narrow and elongate.
