Overview
The Neotropical genus Gonoconophora is of uncertain position (incertae sedis) within the subfamily Darninae (Deitz 1975a). The genus is know only from the female holotype of G. funkhouseri Fonseca originally deposited in the collection of the Departamento de Zoologia do Estado de São Paulo, Brasil (not located by Evangelista, Santos, and Lamas 2014a).
