Distribution
Neotropical region: South and Central America (Argentina and Brazil north to Guatemala).

Diagnostic characters
Pronotum not produced posteriorly over scutellum, with or without anteromedian horn. Scutellum acuminate, keeled posteriorly. Forewing opaquely sclerotized to near apex or throughout, claval apex acuminate; apical limbus narrow. Hind wing with reduced venation, crossvein r-m present (Stictodepsa) or veins R4+5 and M1+2 fused distally, marginal vein reduced (Stictodepsa) or absent; apex with dense semicircular chaetoids.
Discussion
The monotypic subfamily Endoiastinae includes only the nominotypical tribe Endoiastini.
