Distribution
Neotropical and Nearctic regions. This tribe occurs only the Northern Hemisphere from Neotropical and Nearctic Mexico north into the southwestern United States.
Diagnostic characters
Pronotum with or without suprahumeral horns; posterior process entirely concealing scutellum, process either not reaching or not significantly surpassing m-cu3 crossvein of forewing. Female second valvulae not curved, base narrow then gradually broadened before midpoint and gently tapering beyond; dorsal teeth fine, not extending to apex.

Unknown.
Host plants
All host records are from the plant family Leguminosae.
Behavior
At least one species, Platycentrus acuticornis, is subsocial.
