Thuris, the only genus of the tribe Thuridini, includes two described species.

Distribution
Neotropical region: Brazil, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela (McKamey and Porter 2016a).

Diagnostic characters
The pronotum of Thuris has a strong posterior keel which is absent in members of the genus Flynnia (McKamey 2017b).
Immatures
Nymphs devoid of chalazae and scoli; abdominal tergum IX with ventral extension (McKamey and Porter 2016a).
